While we all know how important it is to take care of our insides, taking care of our outside is just as important. Skin is your largest organ.
To make your own body polish and save money, try this. It is all natural and good for your skin. I know that when I look good on the outside I feel just as good on the inside. Maybe it is a positive thinking, not sure but who cares.
Homemade Body Polish: Do one of these recipes at least once a week.
Combine 1/2 cup sea salt and four tablespoons Olive oil, 3 drops of lemon essential oil, 5 drops orange essential oil in a bowl. Wisk throughly. Apply and scrub skin (including face and neck.)
Use sugar instead of sea salt if for whatever reason you'd like to.
OR: 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup jojoba oil, 1 tablespoon orange oil, 4 to 5 capsules of vitamin E oil into a bowl. Wisk together. Use on entire body.
OR: BAKING SODA POLISH: Mix together one part baking soda to one part of your favorite cleanser or facial lotion. Gently apply to face in a circular motion.
TIP: Use other ingredients and oils as you wish. As long as you include a gritty substance such as sea salt or sugar: tea leaves, coffee grounds, cucumber extract, unsweetened cocoa as skin soothers.
Health benefits of Popcorn
Popcorn is high in antioxidents, most notiably, polyphenois. A group of natural plant chemicals that have a variety of health benefits. Polyphenois are the same group of compounds that give red wine, tea, olive oil and chocolate their beneficial properties.
Not only do they scavenge free radicals and protect against cell damage, they are being investigated for their anti-cancer properties and heart protective properties. In fact, the researchers found that the polyphenol content of good, old fashioned popcorn rivals that of many fruits and vegetables.
ANOTHER HEALTH BENEFIT of popcorn? It's a whole grain in the same league as oatmeal, barley,brown rice and millet grains. All of these grains retain the bran and germ of the plant which is the source of most of the vitamins and minerals- in contrast to refined grains where these vitamins - rich components have been stripped away.
Three cups of popcorn is equivalent to a single serving of a whole grain food. Popcorn is also a good source of fiber which helps to increase satiety and give a sense of fullness and satisfaction that lasts for hours.
This can be helpful for weight control since popcorn without butter is low in calories.
The best way to prepare popcorn is to air pop it and go very light on the butter.

A whole grain, popcorn, like any other whole grain, diminishes the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Low in calories, unbuttered popcorn only has about 40 calories per cup.

-The germ in the popcorn kernel contains all of the B Complex vitamins, plus vitamin E, Riboflavin and Thiamine.
_ Popcorn has more iron than eggs, peanuts, spinach,or roast beef or even cod fish or milk!
-The hull and outer layers are rich in iron, phosphorous and protein.
- Popcorn has more phosphorous and fiber than potato chips, ice cream cones, or pretzels.
- Popcorn is a calorie counters delight! unbuttered popcorn only has between 25 and 55 calories per cup.
- Popcorn contains no sodium, sugar and is fat free.
- 1 ounce of unpopped popcorn yields one quart of popped.
- Cocoanut oil produces the best taste, however, Sunflower and corn oils are healthier if you are not able to air pop your popcorn.
